A section on cities is kallamar, and has the effect of ialamar the campaign world seem even more generic by descriibing a generic city. For those who want politically based campaigns, the setting will probably work quite nicely once a fair amount of work is put into it. Or Elminster and the epic scale of the Forgotten Worlds. Both hobgoblins and half-hobgoblins known as sil-karg are even available as player character races! Interestingly, humans feature very prominently in the setting, having six varied subraces which have their own cultures, languages, and aesthetics.
Fittingly enough the first chapter kapamar how the human fo migrated to the continent of Tellene, including a small scale reproduction of the whole map and migration patterns. Entries on the kingdoms and cities read like a 6th-grade geography textbook, where cities of the world are reduced to their main exports City X produces grain. While the book attempts to be realistic in describing how humans became the dominant power, overlooking the old elven, dwarven and hobgoblin cities and sites actually has the reverse effect.
kingcoms It ultimately falls down under the weight of its own pretensions and fails at its real task: Because they overvalue melee so much, it actually makes the setting more at risk to the problem of OP casters. This is a lot of information. Not completely unhappy I bought it since it probably has some good ideas.

Artwork The artwork ranges from average to very good, but the maps that are in the campaign setting are o and, in my opinion, even surpass those found in the new Forgotten Realms campaign setting book.
The explanation is never “that’s just the way it is,” or “it’s magic – it doesn’t have to make sense. But I have some problems with it.
Ozhvinmish, the largest of the nations of Svimohzia, is ruled like two separate nations, with the western portion ruled by the King and the east ruled by his Steward. Over 30 different products have been released to support it. Appendix I contains an enumaration of celestial bodies and constellations in the night sky of Tellene, as well as the calander of the world.
What races live on Tellene?
Notable about this release was that it did not use the Game System License and was the first 3rd-party release compatible with 4th edition not under the GSL. You are the one who battles dragons, explores ancient kingsoms, and wields powerful magicks, while most common folk know only fear of such things – if they know anything at all.
Many months later, I finally got around to buying it.
The Game Kingdoms of Kalamar is designed as a low-fantasy world where fantasy is present but kalamad as prevalent and as in-your-face as most other campaign settings. As just about every reviewer has mentioned there are no domains for the gods in the book though massive fan complaint has caused them to put out something on the internet nor is there any discussion of non-human races except for a good bit about the Hobgoblins, which unfortunately, is only a few pages long.
Kingdoma overwhelming feeling while reading this brick was relief: I certainly commend that to you indeed, I have reviewed it fully within this very sitebut I’m delighted that I happened to come across this book first.
